Interesting stuff, I know very little about the medical world, so this was quite enlightening. I think I would like visiting a D.O. more, because I like the whole person approach. I haven't settled on a doctor since moving to Charlotte, but now I have a better idea of what to look for. Thanks for the info, and good luck with all that medicine stuff, I hear it's pretty hard.

Thanks for sharing Brian ! I agree with the whole person approach....sadly missing in a lot of physicians nowadays. I wish we could have that training overhere, since we see tons of patients with rheumatic diseases, just to name a few.

Im sure in many ways it could be easier for a doctor to concentrate on the disease rather than the tragedy of the person it's affecting, so much respect for your decision to pursue the D.O. degree.

I had no idea there were two differing degrees in modern medical practising; it's good to know. Looking at things in different ways is very important, especially in scientific schools of though where the correct decision and the right decision are often not the same.

Well written Doc. :)
