Wii Fit: Day 7

June 14, 2008

Saturday, June 14, 2008

I had to skip exercise yesterday because we had a guest over, and I was actually disappointed that I didn’t get a chance to use Wii Fit. For me, that’s shocking. I’ve never been one to look forward to exercise. I was eager to try out the advanced version of boxing. It’s a 6-minute aerobic exercise that actually relies more on short-term memory and coordination than stamina. It’s extremely difficult not because the exercise is hard, but because the trainer does a terrible job of making sure you know what steps to do. The commands fly by too quickly and you’ll get confused long before you get winded. Still, I think it’ll be one of my favorite exercises once I get the hang of it.

Death Jr.: Root of Evil Review

June 14, 2008

Root of Evil Header

My review for Death Jr.: Root of Evil on the Wii went up on GameSpot yesterday. I had more fun with the game than I thought I would, but it’s still nothing amazing. Great personality, mediocre execution. I imagine it isn’t garnering much attention over there, since Kevin’s review for Metal Gear Solid 4 went up as well. He gave it a 10, which is a big deal if only for the fact that GameSpot very rarely hands that score out. Most recently, they gave a 10 to Grand Theft Auto IV, but it had been years before that the last 10 was given. I can’t really speak on the scores for GTAIV and MGS4, because I’ve only played a bit of the former and none of the latter. I should really get around to playing both games, though.
